Immediate Past-President Calvin Hara attended the Rotary International Convention in Calgary, Canada from June 22-25. Calvin describes the convention as a lifetime event and experience to meet, share and enjoy Rotary for four days with Rotarians from around the world. “Service Above Self” is everywhere, from the rural areas of India where there is no running water, African nations where school buildings are needed, to war torn Ukraine towns struggle daily to have some semblance of a normal life. It is reaffirming to appreciate what we have and how we can help people in need.
