President's Message

I am honored and humbled to step into the role of President for our incredible club, fondly known as RoCKS. As we begin this new chapter together, I am filled with excitement and anticipation for all that we can accomplish as a united and spirited team.

Our club is truly a vibrant and diverse community, bringing together individuals from all walks of life, united by our shared passion for service, fellowship, and making a positive impact in our beloved community. Whether you're a seasoned Rotarian or new to the family, there's a place for everyone in our dynamic and energetic group.

At RoCKS, our primary focus lies on Youth, Education, and Literacy. We are dedicated to supporting the students of East Honolulu Elementary and Intermediate Schools, including Palolo Elementary, Ali'iolani Elementary, Aina Haina Elementary, King Liholiho Elementary School, Jared Middle School, and Niu Valley Middle School. Together, we strive to provide essential resources such as reading books, student dictionaries, and school supplies to those who need it most in our immediate communities.

But our commitment to service extends beyond the realm of education. We are passionate about caring for the elderly, preserving our environment, and supporting the homeless. Our projects range from doing clean-ups at Hamakua Marsh, to supporting the Alzheimer's Association.  We also find joy in serving meals, organizing clothing drives, and collecting food donations for organizations such as the River of Life Mission and the Salvation Army.

While our dedication to service is at the core of our mission, we also know the importance of fostering camaraderie and enjoying each other's company. Whether we are coming together for our engaging meetings at 7:30 am every 2nd and 4th Wednesday or immersing ourselves in fulfilling community service projects, we always find time to have fun and forge lasting friendships. From our holiday socials to our memorable dinner fundraisers and our signature Murder Mystery dinners, there's never a shortage of laughter and shared experiences.

I invite each and every one of you to join us on this remarkable journey. Come and discover the joy of service and the warmth of our friendly and welcoming club. Whether you choose to attend our meetings or participate in our community service projects, we eagerly await the opportunity to meet you and work hand in hand to create a better future.
